what is the best way to remove single leaf spring perches?

i bought a set of DSE rear springs with their adjustable spring perches.

what is the best way to get the old single leaf perches off? i cut the sides but they still will not come off.

don't forget the plug weld in the center. You can drill that out with a 3/4" bit.
