How To Pick The Correct Torque Converter

I have a dodge charger with a stroker 451, voodoo cam, 770 street avenger carb, 8.75 posi 323 gear, and 275-50-17 rear tires. These are right at 28 inches tall. My cam specs are .489-.513 lift, 226-234 duration @.050 lift, ground on a 110 degree centerline. Like everyone else, I want the best of both worlds; a good driver that will work with my power brakes, and a ripper when necessary. I cannot afford the overdrive tranny yet. I have looked at a lot of converters on the web, and am not sure what to get. any help would be great. also where is the least expensive place to buy them?

If I were you, I'd junk the mopar engine and throw in a BBC with a 6 speed...........and, I know that money is no object. :firefire:

Smitty, yeah,, a BBC with twin turbo and efi. How cool would that be? Then I could go to all chevy or all mopar car shows.
