View Full Version : looking for offset big brake kit for 2nd gen

I am running 18X9.5 ZO6 wheels on the front of my 2nd gen and due to the offset I must run 1 inch wheel adaptors in the front.
I want to upgrade to a 13 inch or larger front brake so do any of the kits out there move the wheel out 1/2 inch or more so I can lose the adaptors?

Thanks,

I can think of a way to increase your track width by almost 5/8" per side by using hubs for a GM short-spindle application and GM tall-spindle C5/C6 conversion brackets. Aside from having to space out the caliper mounting bracket from the spindle to compensate for the wider flange offset of the hub, it should be fairly straight forward. Once you've got the bracket and the hubs, it pretty much opens up all of the OE and aftermarket C5/C6 brake options to you.

Tobin,

Looks like we may be in buisness then. I purchased a Z51 C5 package for a C4 vette from you guys a month or so ago and all I can say is wow. Love it love it love it.

Can you put together a package for me with the Z51 rotors D/S, C5 Kore 3 calipers, Hubs, & brackets.

Shoot me a PM.

Thanks,
