My fuel tank for the Elky is from Ricks and the fill and venting is the same as stock. Vented cap with the vent line in the metal fill neck. The tank has a Walbro in tank pump to feed the LS2. Is this gonna work? I know the systems in the late model vehicles are very sensitive where the fuel tank is concerned as in a loose fuel cap creates error codes and check engine lights. Any advice?

Well I guess this setup will work since no one has had problems with a old style fill and vent with a new style tank and EFI.

New cars get a check engine light with the cap off because it is a closed system run through a charcoal canister. The computer expects to see a closed system. This is done to reduce gas fumes into the atmosphere, causing smog.

In your application, there is nothing in your computer circuitry that will tell it there is a vented system. You should not get a light.
