Hey guys,
We are talking about getting a new fabricated rear end housing for our stang, and I am really wanting to get the third member case polished, I have the stuff to do it but my A.D.D just seems to get in my way every now and then so I thought I would let a professional do it. Does any body know a good place that won’t cost me a arm and a leg that could do it?
Thanks a lot,
Kody

I'd say if its aluminum it would be worth the effort, if its cast youre gong to have to paint it anyway. depends on the rest of the underbody if its detailed to the same level go for it, if its not up to par its a waste of time, bead blast and put a coat of nice paint on it.
I cant recommend anyone to do it for you, it will be pricey, got any neighborhood gear head kids, theyll do tedious crappy work for some parts trades and some cash.

It would most likely help if you posted where you are.. unless you don't mind sending it across the country.
Also, a polished case will retain more heat. Just a thought.

Third member polishing, I'd be happy with once.

Sorry for the lack of info, it is a aluminum case, I am in Florida and I don't mind sending it to a shop depending on how much shipping will cost. Heat I would'nt think that polishing the case would make a huge diffrence or at least that could cause problems plus strange actually sells polished third members so I dout they would sell them if there is a heat issue.

If you want to your third member polished right, you should do it yourself. <giggle>
