Should I trade?? T-400 for 700R4

I have a local guy who wants to trade his professionally rebuilt 700R4 for my T-400 for his race car. I am wanting a 700 R4, he says it is a short shaft, and he has a TV cable, should I do it? I do not know the value of each but do know I want the OD.....

If you are looking for an overdrive sounds like a good deal. be sure to set up the tv cable correctly or you will have a burnt trans in a hurry.

i would keep the th400 and put the gear vendor you have on it, that would be way stronger than a 700r4, most 700r4 cant take that much power unless you have them built good. i am taking my 700r4 out and going with a th400. that my o2
