Hello everyone,
my project is a 75' mustang II. Started on it years ago but doing metal fabrication for others and home projects have left it sitting more then working on it.
To date some of the body work done. Changes have included; custom back quarters, new front fender flares, custom tail light panel and back bumper, removed roof / now a roadster, door window pockets filled, back seat area covered, firewall moved back 10" and removed engine inner side panels, custom nose piece, custom front valance, lowered cowl for one piece fiberglass hood, subframe connectors, cut down 8 point rollcage, reworked tranny tunnel, 68' mustang dash inplace of 75' dash, spare tire wheel well removed in trunk, custom made tail light bezels made,
front 2" drop spindles & new back spring that need to be re-arched.
To do; engine mounts (set back 8"), tranny mount, pedal set up, everthing else.
I have a 351w and a t-5 tranny backed by a 9" rearend for it.

That is sweet! Very clever concoction of modifications. The dash is real slick, too...

Really nice looking project. Going to be one sweet looking and unique ride. Not too many of them done up.

thanks for the words of encouragement. I trying to build it as a "what if" the muscle car era never died and Shelby might have done a mustang II. I hope it'll have a retro look. I had planned on just doing the body work first followed by the drivetrain, wiring, interior, then paint. Oh, the dash panel is out of a 68' mustang.

Since you moved the firewall back 10", did you also move the front seats back? If so, did you convert it to a 2 seater?

Yes, about 6". Where the back seat was is covered as well. I moved the firewall back 10" to set the engine back 8". The problem I have now is that with the 68' dash and the firewall back, I have to come up with a new brake/clutch pedal set-up.

The car looks great and you appear to be a very talented fabricator, keep it up!
