Help and guidance needed.....

Hey Guys,

I have been mostly lurking here for the last few months and accumulating knowledge to be applied to my Buick build. I am finally starting to order parts and need a little help. Specifically with regard to body bushings.

I have read Tony Huntimer's book, what a wealth of info. In there he refers to "drop height" body bushings. Is there a supplier for these? Are they a mod that I would have to perform?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I read about those too.... Why go with drop springs... would not drop height bushings be better? Tony?

Most factory body bushings are roughly 3/4" thick. I'm not sure if you can buy shorter height bushings or if you have to trim yours down but as you can imagine, you'd only want to trim the bushing down to about half its original height. So you'd only go down with the body 3/8" or so. Springs on the other hand allow you to drop the car substantially further than this.
