I went to buy some tires yesterday afternoon and man was I shocked. I had priced the tires earlier in the year and it was now time to replace them, that was until he gave me the new price! The tires went up $37 a tire! In 4 months the cost rose basicly $10.00 a month.

There's no surprise there.....every other consumable will continue to climb even if oil levels off for awhile, which it will as demand will drop.
People with finally push for higher wages and minimum wage will go up and things will finally be more or less normal until the next oil cost spike.
Then things will start all over again.
The only way this will stop is if we are allowed to actually drill for oil again or if we come up with a better alternative that can be mass procuced.
Don't worry, though, the government will more likely step in and cap the cost of oil and then we'll have shortages and lines again.
Or.... the government could encourage conservation with tax breaks for gas sippers and engine size and those who choose battery power.
There seems to be a growing number of short haul intra city grocery getters that are electric only showing up in our retirement city.
Leave it to the Seniors to show us how....
