Would it be ok to switch to Royal Purple or some other tranny oil in used tranny or not ? I've heard once you've used Dextron you must stick to it ?:cheers:

You will be fine to switch to Royal Purple, we have done this for several customers without any issues. The only time we see problems is if this is a high mileage unit, that has not be serviced for years. If you know the history of the transmission and do not have any complaints with how it operates now, then you will be fine to change your fluid to synthetic.

ok thanks,unit has been out of service for about 14 yrs waiting for restoration,which isoon completed,has low miles though ! Trev:cool:
