Hey guys,

This is just a spinoff from my previous post about roadrace brakes. I just got off the phone with Precision Brakes and I cant believe my ears!

I asked what they would charge to put together a package that included:

Forged Billet Superlites front & rear
two piece 12.19" rotors 1.25" front/.81" rear w/internal parking brake

Quoted Price: $8000 (3500 front/4500 rear)

I priced out the major components on their site and come up with about 2k for them. Would anyone in their right mind spend 6 large on brackets and a set of hubs

Damn.. for $8000 you could get Alcons.. I think my entire Wilwood package would have cost a tad over $2K with the 6-piston fronts..

Are they gold plated?

For 1200-1600 bucks you can get 2 front Alcons off a circle track car. Thats new enough for me lol.

Sheesh, for 8grand you could run Alcons on all 4 corners with x 2.19 rotors.

The brake kits listed on their site aren't anywhere near that.

If you dig deep into Wilwoods website you will see they dont offer the nice brake kits for Second gens. I was basically looking for an upgrade over the best kits wilwood offers direct. Their best kits for a second gen car are about $1300 for both but I wanted to upgrade the front rotors and calipers all the way around. This put me into "custom" kit territory, hence the prices I listed.
