So... My OEM speedo was working just fine, but then I was farting around in the engine bay and I swapped the wires going to the coil (Positive and Negative). Don't ask why I did this, I just 'thought' they were backwards. Anyhow, the speedo stopped working. I swapped the wires back to the original spot they were in and the speedo still doesn't work.
Now it could have been a coincidence the speedo went out when I swapped the coil wires, then again it could have nothing to do with it.
I removed the dash gauge cluster and checked to make sure the speedo cable was in securely, I unscrewed it, screwed it back it, still doesn't work.
I am having some lighting issues on the printed circuit board so I bought a new one and am currently waiting for it to arrive. That could be the problem.
Do you think I might have fried my speedo by swapping the coil wires? That couldn't have anything to do with it - could it?
