Just wanted to throw a quick hello out to everybody and say that I'm glad that I found these forums.
I have recently been getting the itch to start on a new project, and I came across these forums while doing some initial research for it. I look forward to learning more as I go, and contributing what I can when necessary. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm not sure what you all went through, but I'm finding it to be a little tougher than I though to find a good car to start with. Maybe it's a good thing though, b/c I really don't need to be doing this anyway. And I will keep my eyes open, if you guys ever get together here in town I would like to come out and meet you all, and maybe drool a little.
And I too love the TBSS. It has been a great truck over the years for me, and yes, a nice sleeper...except mine makes a little too much noise anymore to be a sleeper. Here's a couple better pics for you.

I looked for nearly a year before I found my car. Give me an idea of what your looking for and I'll keep my eye out.

Thank you! I decided on a '86 - '88 Monte Carlo SS. My first car was a '86 SS, and there were so many things I wanted to do to it that I never got around (couldn't afford) to. I've come across a couple that could have worked, but am dragging my feet while I'm trying to get a new business up and running, which as I'm sure you know is more important than a hobby. If the perfect car were to show up I would probably buy it and put it to the side. I've got big plans for it, and I'm sure it will take some time...so I'm just going to take it one step at a time.

I do appreciate it. I've been eyeballing a low mileage car out in Oregon that is pretty close to what I want, but he's a little too proud of it still. So I'll give him some time, and if he's still got it after a while I might show up with an offer. Until then though, I'm still looking.
