Hi, I am new to this site and I was hoping that someone could lead me in the right direction. I am a friend with someone that works for a salvage yard and he can get me the whole suspension package from an 85 C4 corvette for $180. This would make the C4 subframe from Wayne Due very reasonable, but I am into performance and I was wondering if this subframe will be just as good as the stage 3 kit from DSE because I will have less money in the Wayne Due kit than I would have if I bought the stage 3. The looks of the Wayne Due subframe are pretty, but if it was just made to look good than I wouldn't be interested. I have read the posts and it doesn't sound like a lot of the people like this subframe, but is it a good starting point?
My camaro is a bit different from everyone elses g-machine. I am going with a big block with no power adders because it is cheap power. I was interested in the Wayne Due frame because I thought it might be able to offset some of the extra weight that a big block comes with. Please give me some input because even though I can get a really reasonable deal with the Wayne Due setup; if it just isn't a good product with good geometry than I am wasting my money because there won't be a performance gain.
