I got my new Intro wheels today and need to do some painting on them. Its ultra polished finish so I will need to rough it up some. Should I use primer? How would you do it?

Also what would be a good paint and color to use. I want a kind of dark gray but not charcoal. I also don't want gloss or flat either.

To give an idea this is what I want it to look like but a little darker. I had someone photo shop this one a while back. I ordered a different style but I still want the gray accents on the new wheel.

Does the wheel have a clear coating or is it just raw polished aluminum? Depending on what you have to start with will dictate the steps to get it painted. I would recommend a 2 part (catalyzed) paint system rather than aersol can paint.

Go to the automotive paint supply and check out the color chips in the factory books or fleet color charts.
