Does anybody know? I ask this because I could swear I saw it in Los Altos today. I swear, if I wasn't stopped at a light, I would have crashed. Thank the good lord I didn't wet myself. :drive2:

Hmmm..... You know, Scott Parkhurst was supposed to do a article on that car, but he never did. I feel ripped. I wonder if there is any way to get ahold of the guy that bought it? Think we could get an exclusive for the site? I WANT INFO ON THIS CAR!!!!!!! Sorry. It's inspirational to me for some reason.

I saw that car for sale at GG Columbus a few years back. I think he was asking like $25k for it.

I thought there was a story done on that car? I remember them mentioning that it looked better without all the stickers.. Hmm I will check on that when I get to the office tomorrow.

You would be correct on that quote Steve, but it's not in an article on the car itself. That was in the coverage of the Baer track day in Chandler Arizona. August 2002 issue, page 27. Yeah, I have the magazine sitting right in front of me. Can you tell how much I love that car?

I think it sold in the mid 40's.

2 years ago Cam invited me to be his navigator at the last Silver State Classic. I think I missed returning his call by an hour as he needed to find someone quick. I SO would have done that. Oh well. It was a really cool car. I've been to a couple of track days with him and he drove the piss out of it. I too hope the new owner will bring it out to play.

Yeah, I heard he was asking around 42-45 for it. I think the car is worth it. If only I had the money....

Well it's certainly is worth a feature.. hopefully he told the new owner about this place :)
I would have paid $40k for that car.. for some reason it just "did it" for me..

I think you could build it for less then that. If one wanted to.
It was pretty much a stock build type car. Nothing was custom made or anything, that I remember.

The only custom stuff was the dash, the interior aluminum panels, and the cage. It sits perfect though, and the look is insane. Of course, that's just me.

The "full-feature" idea was nixed because the car had been covered in the Silver State story in the Feb. issue and the Media Day event as mentioned. I had the feature shot, but the idea was shelved.
Cam and I won our class at the Silver State twice in that car, in three tries. The first and second times we ran, we won. The car had less than 500 miles under it when we first ran it in the 130mph class. We maintained 165mph for 6 solide minutes at one point during the run. We repeated this the second and third times we ran also. So, yes, the car is capable at speed.
It has an aluminum headed numbers-matching LT1 block, Richmond 6-speed, and 12-bolt rear w/ 3.08:1 gears. At 165mph, we were turning 4,700rpm.
It was a grand experience.
Cam and I talk about it all the time. The new owner bought the entire truck/trailer/car rig, and it's hard to nail down a hard price for that reason. It was a really nice truck and trailer too.

That's too bad. I would have loved to have seen it even in a issue of Camaro Performers. I guess I'm gonna have to wait to see if I can catch up to the guy again one of these days. That is if I see it again. It's one of the cars that I'm shooting for with my own car. I'd love to get as much info on it as possible.
