2008 Schedule:
Laconia Nationals Schedule
Friday May 23rd
7am: Vendor set-up begins at Gunstock Resort
9am-7pm: Registration/Check-in for drivers and cars opens at
Gunstock Resort, Gilford, NH
10am-4pm: Open House at Jim Lowery’s Hot Rods and
Restoration, Tilton, NH. (Directions in events goodies bag…20
minutes west of Laconia) Featured in over 15 different
magazines as one of America’s best builders and restorers, always
a great bet for a Friday morning or afternoon)
12 noon: Meet at Gunstock Parking lot to sign up for “Poker
Run / Power Cruise”
1pm: Poker Run /Power Cruise hits the road. Details coming. It
will not be the same 70 mile cruise as last year. $250.00 cash
prize to winner. A fun event for anyone who would like to
experience the beauty of the Lakes Region and the White
Mountains. This is an all afternoon cruise event.
1pm-4pm: Open house to view **** Metz’ Private Collection on
Countryside Dr., Gilford, NH. Featuring restored cars, antique
toys, advertising and automobilia. (Directions in events goodie
bag…Spectacular Collection)
2pm: Spectators Gates open. Limited events and demos.
4pm: Lounge opens at Gunstock with your favorite beverages,
appetizers and Old Hotrod Movies on multiple screens.
4:30pm: Burnout Pad opens for first demos and competitions.
5pm: Welcome Back and Kick-Off Dinner main dinning room at
Gunstock (still working on Hot Rod menu)
6pm to 10pm: “Memphis Rockabilly” performs in the Main Room
at Gunstock Lodge featuring the best rockabilly in the USA.
Don’t miss these guys…they played with Roy Orbison and Jerry
Lee Lewis....it’s the best rockabilly in the USA.

Saturday May 26th
8am-5pm: Registration/check-in re-opens for drivers and cars.
8am: Last minute set up for vendors.
8am: Gunstock’s “Hot Rod Restaurant” open for breakfast
9am-5pm: Spectator gates re-open at Gunstock. Events,
vendors and demos, chair lift to the mountain top, burnout
competition, monster ride truck, pin stripping, muffler rapping,
flame throwers, model car and pedal car displays, 50/50 raffle,
games and coloring contest, plenty of oldies and a Chicken
Barbeque with live music and more.
9am-5pm: Universal Technical Institute Spark Plug Challenge and
Hot Rod Motor Build
10am-4pm: New England’s own, Scott Fisk. Professionally
syndicated hot rod illustrator.
12noon: “Memphis Rockabilly” performs. Re-live the early to
late fifties with the best rockabilly music in the USA.
6pm: Rolling Rumble Cruise to Nowhere runs continuously
looping between Downtown Laconia and Weirs Beach. See map
in your events goodie bag.

Sunday May 27th
8am-10am: Registration/check-in reopens for drivers and cars.
8am: Gunstock’s Hot Rod Restaurant” open for breakfast
9am-3pm: Spectator gates re-open at Gunstock Events,
vendors and demos, burnouts, monster truck rides, pin stripping,
chairlift to mountain top and more.
9am-3pm: Universal Technical Institute Spark Plug Challenge and
Hot Rod Motor Build
10am-2pm: New England’s own Scott Fisk. Professionally
syndicated hot rod illustrator
2pm: Awards and trophies. Over $10,000.00 in prizes….plus one
entrant from the Laconia Nationals will qualification for the '08
Right Coast Assoc. '39 Ford “Coast to Coast” Coupe giveaway.

Its a great place for a show and really relaxing. Since its a smaller venue (like you wont see 4000 cars there) you get a chance to actually meet and chat with the owners of the rides you park next to. every year I meet someone I stay in touch with as a new pal. Love the area too. Pretty
