Well, I graduate from high school in two weeks, and after that I will be going to college up in Chicago. I am going to be heading up there about halfway through August to settle in to my new place since I did not get campus housing, but oh well. Anyways, I was wondering what automotive related stuff there is up there. Any cool car museums?, hotrod shops looking for a shop b*tch? haha or are there any good car shows up around the area? Anything that I definately need to go see?

there also will be a super chevy show at RT66 ..a good show and next month there is a swap meet in Peotone..witch is one town north of Manteno where Troys shop is..What school you going to or what town you gonna be in ?..lots of us here from the area have to get a small gathering headed up..

There are cruise nights and car shows almost every night of the week. There is one in Rolling Meadows on Friday nights, One in Downers Grove on Thursdays, Lombard on Saturdays. There is a couple big shows in Naperville and Joliet. PM me if you have any questions.

Sweet! I am going to be up there in early July for a few days but Im gonna be up there full time about mid-end august. I am going to be going to DePaul University. I definately want to hit up some of the meets so see these cars!

Im moving to the Aurora area, actually start work there tomorrow, so Im looking for the same things.
BadRS69 has a shop in the area. If youre into restoration stuff ask over on yenko.net, there are quite a few members in the Chicago area and you may be able to hook up a part time shop job.

I'm in the Aurora area,(just north in Batavia) there's a cruise every night of the week around here and a show every weekend, there always seems to be some kind of car related event going on from May to Oct.
