New member here and this would appear to be just the place I've been looking for. I've got a 65 Malibu SS that is dying for some G Machine alterations. Tubular arms and discs up front. I'm struggling the a rat rod kind of look with genuine performance structure underneath. Sleeper? Right now I'm trying to work out what combination of parts, manufacturers, wheel size, disk size etc. will work best without needing a water cooled checkbook. I'll be searching this board for quite awhile. Looking forward to your help.

Thanks for the great welcome! I looked all over and I can't find any decent photos of the Malibu. I'll take some this weekend. Meantime I'll attach a photo of the cousin, the Z28 I bought in 1970 as a young sailor in San Diego.
Later on,

It's a great day in the Sacramento valley and here is the Buu. I'm the third owner and I've had her for about 13 years as a daily driver. The original owner was a Chevy dealer in the bay area and he had bought this car for his wife. It's an SS with a 283 and PG trans. It's got factory AC, tilt wheel and electric windows. It came with the original IdentoPlate in the dealers name with a folder of receipts of the maintainance and repair. The original wheels and covers are in perfect shape in the shed. When finished I'm looking at a 350, 4 speed auto, front disc etc. We have a '68 Z28 Camaro I restored years ago and the Malibu will be the road king we now want. Lotsa trunk room compared to a Camaro. I'll be in and out of this board as I put together my game plan. I can't believe all the options available. Looking forward to getting it just the way I want it with your great help.
