The car is almost ready for this event. I just need too replace the tire that came apart at Buttonwillow. I have new brake fluid, pads, right hand hub and bearings. I will try some new alignment settings too that I hope will allow the Kumho MX's to last more than a Weekend. I will take my GoPro camera and see if I can get T/Aaron to make a movie out of it (if any turns out okay). I am running Danger level 3 again...oh I mean Group 3. I hope the car comes out unscathed. If anyone is in the neighborhood stop on by (especailly on Saturday as there is a free barbecue after the races). Saturday will be busy for me though, as I setting up my new Koni shocks and making some rear antiroll bar adjustments. Hopefully I will have it worked out by Sunday?

My friend Paul will be out there with a 93 Red RX7 for both days - great guy and he is an instructor at ThunderHill -

Stop by and tell him "Matt said to come and get your Cabbage".

I've got an autocross tomorrow that will hopefully get the Shelby sorted out for F Stock. Wish I could do the track day though.

Have fun and post pics plus how you did when Monday comes around.

Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

Charlie,

How was Infineon this last Weekend? I was certainly nice the Weekend before. It is really a great track. I wished more organizations would run there. NASA won't be back until November.

It was great. Took my 65 Mustang and Camaro X. Managed a 360 trying to really late brake for turn 7 in the Mustang .

Charlie,

Were you running the standard Turn 7 or the NASCAR Turn 7? Regardless I bet you pick up plenty of speed going down to Turn 7 in the Mustang. How is the new engine working out? I can't wait too see that mean machine in action again.
We ran the NASCAR Turn 7 with NASA in June. They alternate back and forth.

New engine seems fine. Ran the standard turn 7 I think. Just a big u-turn. The checkered flag was also at the entrance to turn 7. I had a friend trying to chase me down before the checkered flag so I stayed on the gas longer than usual and did a 360 after the checkered trying to make that turn. Was pretty funny. I think I would hit maybe 100 coming down that straight to turn 7. We have the Norcal Shelby club Mini Nats on Labor Day weekend up at Thunderhill as our next deal.

My disclaimers for not being fast: I'm still a learning driver. I also have street tires, stock suspension with the G-Mod and rubber bushings throughout. I have no excusses as far as the track goes. I've to this one a lot. Plus, I'm just going out there and having fun!
