Here is the deal... I have a Holley 650 Mechanical Double Pumper, No Choke, Machined Off Choke Tower. I had the carb rebuilt about a year ago by The Carb Shop.

I was running the carb on a 396BB Chevy. I now have a 496BB Chevy. Everyone is telling me "That carb is too small" which it probably is for my application.

Problem is... I don't really want to jump out and spend another $500 on a carb when I can probably make this one work. I won't get the most HP out of the engine as a 750 probably, but then again i'm not bracket or heads up racing here. I am driving the car around town - plain and simple.

I have heard there are some things I can do to the 650 to make it like the 750. What these things are?? I don't know. If anyone has some knowledge in this area let me know what I can do to bump up the carb a little for the bigger engine.

Thanks! :drive:

I have a 750 Holley on my 388, I would like to go to a 650. Let me know if you would consider a trade?

What model 750 is it? Choke or no Choke? Mechanical or Vacuum secondaries? How old is it? Shoot me the details and I would consider a trade.
