Resize a photo?

Guys, how can I resize a photo to post pics here? I have tried a few ways but my crudy computer maybe the weak link.

I just usually open with Paint Brush and go under Image then stretch/skew it to a smaller percentage then save. Probably better methods out there. That is just the way I do it.

Google "online photo resize" or the like, for some online options, or most of the free photo hosting sites offer it as part of the hosting.

I downloaded microsofts resize tool(Its free). Just right click on picture and resize. Also will do more than 1 pic at a time.
