that would be a good start, put those wheels on your 78 Chevy p/u! maybe get a shorter wind screen and lay it back???? lower the back 8"

I am definately going to chop the windshield and lay it back, and lower the car as much as possible..

Maybe change the rims and tires over to steel wheels with white walls. Try Wheel Vintiques and check their smoothy or gennie center caps. Not too expensive either.

Laying the windshield back as mentioned above will change the attitude and will look so much better imo. Speedway Motors will have all kind of goodies for you.

How do you "end up" with a '27 T Bucket?

That's a trick I need to learn. LOL!!!

Put that rear view mirror back on the delivery truck it came from and replace it with something like this http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/2262,434_Swan-Neck-Mirror.html . Don't look exclusively at hot rod retailers. You can often adapt mirrors from a cruiser-style motorcycle, sometimes by cutting down and rethreading the arm.

I think he meant the goofy looking sideview mirror. I am ending up with it by trading my Harley, I only have 8,000 in the bike and figured I could mess with the t bucket and come out a little better when I sell it..

Duvall windshield, steel 40 Ford wheels on the front, steel 18" Nissan Murano spare wheels on rear all with 40 Ford caps. GLOSS black paint!!!
I just happen to have one 40 front and one Murano rear wheels for reasonable $!! Like this......

Also, if you've got the $, the 27 track T nose looks a lot better than the flat radiator.

If you made that change, and lowered / channeled it per allkar's suggestions, you'd have something a lot like the Speedway Track T, which is pretty cool.

Well I brought her home and I have to say this is one awesome driving car!! It is extremely well built with a small 267 SBC that runs perfect mated to a TKO 5 speed with quick ratio shifter, Ford rear end out of a late model F-150. It is on a custom frame and has a nice cd player with marine speakers, tilt ididit steering column, nice gauges, blinkers horn everything works great. It even has a heater!! (I know I know). It has nice seats and a mean sounding exhaust. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and I am amazed how it fdrives nice and tight like a new car. The body was widened 8 inches and they call it a King T, and also has a top for it. Channeling it is going to be a nightmare but it has a fully adjustable suspension so I will lower it doen and see how it looks. It has a 05 jeep gas tank with gauge that works great. This thing is real fast for such a small V8 but it weighs very little. Here is a slideshow any input is appreciated!!

I had to laugh out loud when I read your first line,:rotfl: then I thought we really need a mugshot so it can be photochopped in and we'll let everyone else decide if it would indeed look cool with you in it.:poke:

on a more serious note: i vote to leave it flat black, lower it a bunch, and maybe some red steelies with wide whites(or I would think some saltflat specials or something would also look cool).....oh and chop that windshield down. then just drive the snot out of it.:6gears:

My $.02

Like most said, different wheels(steels or slat flat style), less windshield, keep the flat black.

I'll add, paint the marine speaker grills black!!
Put a more vintage style steering wheel in it.
Less chrome is more!
Put a bunch of miles on it. The more driven/weathered it looks, the better!
Nice score, only minor detail changes will make this car great!

Thanks I plan on painting the speker grills, and I am going to try to lower it the most I can today. Do they make large size steel wheels? I agree either red or green would look cool..

My ideas are the same as most of the others that have posted already. Definitely get some different wheels and tires (wider in back), lower her down, and I would get a big blower for that thing. Nothing like a big motor/blower combo in a small car :). She does have a lot of potential...enjoy her.

Something like this would be sweet and yes that is the fuel tank in with the driver got to have that left side weight.
