I called just about every header manufacturer I could think about and finally found a set of full length headers for my '68 Camaro small block. Hooker makes the one that fits with the angle plug heads, 4 speed manual clutch, no air, p/s etc. No one would give a part number they had because of the angle plug heads. I bought the Hookers and when I went to put them on, the right side tube hits the inner tie rod end when the tires are turned. I have the subframe out and thank goodness the header was a breeze to put in. but the tie rod end hits to the tune of about half the diameter of the header tube. there is no way that the tires could be turned to the left! I am going to have to wait until Monday to call Hooker to see what their reccomendations are. Has anyone else ever run into this problem?
