I would go with a 4.5" bs in front to be safe and run a 9 1/2 wide rim in the back with 5.5 to 5.75 bs in the rear. If you cannot get a 9 1/2" rim and have to run a 10"...then most definately go with 5.75 bs.

so a 9 1/2 would be better does anyone have pics of a wheel with this bs ( 5.5 ) does that make it shallow lip ? thanks

Hmmm...

So I was reading this on DSE's website under FAQ:

Q: What are the largest size tires I can fit underneath a first generation Camaro?

A: With the stock suspension, the largest front tire is a P245/45R17 on an 8 inch rim or a P245/45R16 on an 8 inch rim. Areas to watch for signs of tire/wheel contact are; tire inner sidewall to subframe under full lock steering, wheel inner to stock upper control arm during full lock steering, tire outer sidewall to fender lip especially on 1969 models. The largest rear tire is a P275/40R17 on a 9.5 inch rim.

If the above is accurate, and Bodyman's car is lowered 3", and I assume without deep tubs, isn't fitting an 18 x 9.5 inch wheel / tire combo going to be difficult ?

I want to do about the same thing (3" lower & 18 x 10 ish wheels), but I was thinking I would need deep tubs to pull that off. Perhaps not ?

I have pics! I can post them tonight. I am running 18x8 (5" bs) and 18x9.5 (5.75 bs) with 245/40's and 265/40's. Wheels may be for sale soon, check out my fquick garage if interested.
