Surprise from NOS drink (Updated! with pics of the spoils!)

The other day a thread got started on Fark.com about a guy overdosing on RedBull and having a heart attack.

I made a post.

as cool as that is, i'd also be kinda cautious as to how much of that stuff you drink....... when i was taking a refresher course for wildland firefighting they are not allowing firefighters to have energy drinks because of the problems caused by them.

It's actually an interesting read. short, but interesting. i find that just water seems to work for me. i drink plenty of it too. close to a gallon a day. i've pretty much cut out all pop/soda and it's not necessarily for those reasons, i just don't drink them anymore.:twothumbs

My Nephew flies F-16's and is in Ballad Iraq. He and some of the other pilots and ground crew have a competition to see how many you can drink in a minute without puking. It's the only form of entertainment he has other that sitting outside the women's restroom. One of the guys says he can feel his hair growing after six! They cant get the real stuff over there and have to drink some knock off stuff (Rip-It I believe) so if anyone reading this would like to ship them some I can get an address.

If you guys are consuming that much per day you have to consume twice as much water to be safe.

I run on Red Bull, but its a back up. Only use it when I need it. Alot of my co-workers use at least 3 cans a day and it can be unsafe especially when its hot out. You can really tell when they haven't had a can in a few hours. The caffine addiction comes into play.

All can be safe in moderation, also be carefull with the big cans. Just because you only had one the content is very high. Maybe pace yourself while consuming.

yep. Moderation is the key. I consume two or three at the most in a day. A NOS in the morning is my coffee. I've had a caffine addiction for as long as I can remember. Energy drinks like red bull are ok. If you like drinks that taste like ASS.

At least someone finally got it right. NOS drinks are the best tasting energy drinks on the market that i've had, bar none.

Just want to say something about this NOS drink, we have my uncle and his gf staying with us at the moment. They are both crack heads, when they cant get crack they drink this NOS to get a buzz off of it. be careful when drinking the stuff.

Martinelli's apple juice. Unconcentrated. No artificial anything. This energy drink era is something else. Excersize will give you plenty of energy through the whole day. Peaks and valleys are good for no one. But it's your body, do what you want to it.

I drank 5 of the big cans of Monster within a couple hours a few months ago (because I had nothing else to drink and my frat gets them for free) and my heart raced for about two hours after that. That's some scary **** not being able to slow your own heartbeat while sitting in a recliner. I havn't drank any energy drinks since that.

Nicotine: 3.34 mg to kill a 1 kg lab rat

Since I smoke (therefore consuming both nicotine and Arsenic) then I probably need to quit drinking caffeine, or quit smoking, or both!

I would try to stay away from energy drinks and caffeine if I could, but it is everywhere....

Ya know,...this won't win me any free cases but I've only seen ONE kind of NOS....I tried it and thought it tasted like ass! It was probably an original flavor....had a heavy grapefruit taste to it.

I'll keep my eye out for there other flavors but Im usually a Monster guy myself.

Has anyone ever tried the "Cocaine" drink? I think it's been taken off the market. It literally burned my throat going down!!!! Crazy stuff.

If your nephew is flying F-16s out of Balad, then he is definitely earning his paycheck (I just spent 2007 based out of Balad calling in ordnance from F16s + everything else). Ask him what his callsign is- I might know him.

Rip-It is what we got over there- they are just 8 or 10oz, but they pack a whallop; I had one the whole time I was there. Seeing as how they are banned in the US, that was my sign to stay away. There are guys over there that go through really bad withdrawls when they (frequently) run out. Talk about a hard crash!

I get The NOS in the bottle from Summit racing. One thing that Ive only seen on the summit bottles it the cap looks like the valve on top of a Nos tank. I love NOS but have not seen or tryed any of the flavored ones just the OG

I personally prefer diet rockstar.....I dont know what it is but if i drink red bull ill be having a great time and then come down off the stuff and get really pissed off and irritable....Now the worst thing that ever happened was mixing Red Bull with Jager or Red bull with Vodka...both are very tasty and both get alot of folks way too riled up

Thats been proven incorrect very recently. Our bodys are smart enought to get hydrated with anything containing water. If water is in the ingrediance your body obsorbes it as such...

Taste exactly like grape Crush to me. the fruit punch tastes like Hawaiian punch. They seem to have found a way to mask the energy drink taste completely with Nos. Even the regular citrus flavor, while a little heavy on the pineapple is a little better than everyone else.
