I was wondering what the status is on the billet gas caps built by Larry C. for the camaros, could use some help on locating one. I have looked through some of the old posts and it sounds like they are not in full production yet. Just want to make sure I havnt missed out on any information about the caps. Would really like to buy one for my 67. Thanks Rich

Nope, they are not quite ready according to Larry's latest update... He has been pretty busy it sounds like and no doubt he will up date us all soon! I think we all want to get our grubby paws on one! Im sure he will chime in here in a little bit for an official update...

I will get back into this full force after my car leaves for Prodigy Customs. I have been trying to get as much done as I can before it hits the road.

As soon as it leaves I will bang out the fuel cell versions and get the cad file off to the casting house.

The above picture shows a PT member spying Larrys camaro in the trailer and running up to steal the cap only to find someone has already beaten him to it.

Larry, are these caps going to be ready anytime soon or do we all need to purchase the 3" cap and modify our own? Please post an up-date as to the status of the caps so we can make a choice to wait or buy the other guys cap!

Another option for those not interested in waiting I guess. A friend of mine found these guys while looking for such a cap for his project.

It won't be long. In a few days I'm hoping to make a very big announcment that will make everyone very happy.

I couldn't wait either so I went with a newton cap. The diameter is somehow the perfect size for 67-8 and fits flush with the tail panel if you make an eigth inch rubber gasket.

I'm not really trying to be rude, but I wish larry wouldent say nothing untell he gets his $#^% straight, every time he says that it wont be long..then you dont hear anything. I understand that larry has a life and thing always dont go the way you expect. but when you tell the public something I think you need to follow through. this has been going on for years. Do me a favor and let this thread die and dont bring it up again untell thay are 100% ready to ship.

Dude,

I couldn't wait either so I researched and found a Aircraft Style and nearly bolt in gas cap for my 68. It's a Goodridge/Newton product. Mesa Hose and Supply will get you one for about 200$. Brooks Brown helped me and was cool as hell. Call 949-645-2661. Part# 4230AG for the locking cap and #4230AEN for a non-locking. The cap measures 3.75" Diameter and is flush.

This is going nowhere and though people here may be frustrated, it's not cool to start hounding Larry. If you're that frustrated use one of the others that have been listed in this thread.
