I'm pretty sure I know the answer but wanted to get a few other opinions. I have a NASCAR road course exhaust system I want to adapt to my 67 Bird. These systems have a very nice x-pipe on them and exit in front of the rear wheels. These pipes start out as 3.5" off the collectors then transition to 2.5x4 oval pipes. My headers have a 3" collector on them. I can't seem to find 3" to 2.5x4 oval. They only go from 3.5 to this size oval. I could use a 3" to 3.5" reducer in reverse but would rather just go from 3" to the oval. Anyone ever see a 3" to 2.5x4 oval??

The cross section area of the 3" collector is pretty close (90%) to the cross section of the oval so not too much difference in flow I wouldn't think.

Any thoughts ???

Ok, from Dr. Gas's website. a 3.5" round equates to your 2.5" x 4" oval (so this would be a 3.5" oval). Spintech makes a transition from 3" round to 3.5" oval... Part number is #3035TR.

I talked to Dr. Gas and they said what I thought they would say. I can use one of their tapered cones to go from 3" to 3.5". Prety cheap and easy solution.
