Stukkie has always been one of my favorites. He should have a wheel barrow to carry them. Most american dirvers would pee their pants to take a ride with him. I've seen some major WC drivers take a trip around Road Atlanta with a Trans-Am driver and squeal like a pig. It's funny!!
Great video!

I'll bet it's a Hewland like they run in Trans-Am as well as all kinds of racing in different forms.

I soooo want to do that too. I'd at least like to be a passenger in a car that he's driving like that. Looks like too much fun.

Yes, Hans Stuck is a god.

And yes, it's a Hewland 6-speed. There's some good info on the M3 GTR here: http://www.7extrememotorsports.com/lemans/cars/gt-bmw-m3-gt-e46.htm

...In my 71 Camaro on a more local track. My goal is to be able to drive my car to its limits on a few local tracks without smashing it up! That video is the baddest, he wizzes by slower cars like nothing, it must get crazy on that track at times.

If I had big bucks I would pay someone to design a video game with a number of tracks that are local to the West Coast, and a car that is exactly like mine so that I could practice the timing and readiness while at home. I bet it would help my real world driving as well! Even pro athletes use video games now to hone their skills, so why not drivers too???

That's what I'm talking about. We need a local facility/track to invest in that for training purposes. I would be willing to spend money using the simulator to sharpen my skills a bit before I go out on the track, as well as further honing after a track day! I guess I need to start bugging local tracks to see if they plan to involve simulations in their repertoire.

The video is uploading now. My upload speed is slow. In about an hour it should be good to go. You can find it at https://www.pro-touring.com/m3.wmv

Right mouse click on it and save it.

First- That car and driver are both amazing!!!

Second- Man would i love a chance to rip up that track...

Last- In the link with the specs i like how most shots with other cars in it have the C5R right on its tail!

Really the last thing- Got to wonder what that thing could do in the 1/4? :smoke:

You can take a lap in your own car. One lap cost about 20 dollars... Take a look at : http://nurburgring.de/ Fastest lap time is: 6min 11sek

... The C5R is in those 'select' pics because it makes for good pics- i.e; with a / the champion. You won't see many pics with any of the old GT-class 360s, or the S7Rs in there.

Sorry man- I'm kinda biased- My brother is a suspension guy for the #4 car Pratt & Miller C5R).

Road racing rules- period. I think to be out there on the edge, it takes major stones knowing that one bobble could kill you, or (even if it didn't kill you) really hurt your program.

I was able to run my supercharged 5.0 Mustang at the Nurburgring a few times! I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB from Dec 93 - Dec 98. Several friends and I used to take our sport bikes (GSRX) up there and a few times I took the 'stang... slid off a couple times pushing the limits of the BFG Comp TA/VR4s with the full Steeda suspension and Tokikos set on kill. Great fun! Get memories! Now I'm bummed out just thinking about...
