I want to use a 6.0L with a decent sized cam, longtubes, and an Edelbrock intake and carb. I will be installing this in my 69 Camaro. I have a new stock fuel tank, sending unit, and 3/8 line. What am I going to need for a pump to keep up with approx 425rwhp? Should I use an intake pump, or run an inline pump? What about a regulator and return? Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I used Ricks in my 69 LS7. Aeromotive A1000 in tank, -10 out to a parrallel set-up -8 back to tank. Weldon regulator. Bosch 44.5 # injectors. Barry Grant in-line cooler. Dynodyanmics 485whp. Fuel delivery was a big issue. Consulted Kinsler Fuel injection guru's for advice. With your carb set-up you will have more wiggle room. In tank pump will be cooled by the fuel, quieter, however any good pump will work. The bowls on your carb are your savior. Why a regulator and return?

Whoa you def dont need all that. I'm running 3/8" braided SS line, stock tank and pic up both new and a holley 97GPH electric pump but was thinking about running the holley black. I plan on making 420rwhp up to 480rwhp or so with heads, and then spraying a 150shot on top of it.

Like I said with a carbed set-up, alot easier. My carbed 383 had a 3/8" ss line and external Holley Blue pump, no return, no regulator, no problems.

Sweet... after I re-read what I had posted, I realized I was thinking to hard about it. Im glad that I can just run an inline pump with the stock tank to make it work. I think I will run a regulator and a pressure gauge for peace of mind at least.
I just bought the entire front end of a 98 Trans Am (complete running LS1 with wiring/computer) subframe, brakes, steering, everything, for $1200. Hope to get this project underway in about 2 weeks. :)
