After seeing the Chevelle/modifed car being built, I was wondering what parts from cup cars can be used. I know the site Musclemotorsports.com has used parts. What can I used on a street car?

lots of good stuff... brakes (esp if you want something that will fit in a 15" rim with inexpensive slicks); on the motor side, the cup stuff is now pretty specialized, but the 18 degree heads of the chevy busch cars and modifieds are streetable if you plan on a lot of cam to make use of them. Depending on where you are in the country, check with some of the local engine builders that do mid-level nascar stuff-- Busch East (was north) have gone to the LS motors, same with ASA. A lot of the busch teams were selling complete 18 degree head motors for a steal. ($8-12k).

I bought a complete 9" Ford center section set up with a Detroit Locker and 4.11 gears for $550. It would be tough to beat that price.

What happened to Jack Roush's on-line store of used NASCAR parts? I can't seemed to find it. :dunno:

ASA has not used LS engines in a long time.

Well, that just goes to show how much I've been following the circle track crowd lately! They don't come our way, so last time I saw an ASA race was a few years back.

I have bought several items from this place. Got a GREAT deal on a Griffin radiator for my car. I also picked up a complete road course exhaust system I plan to use/modify on my 67 'Bird. The road course systems exit both sides in front of the wheels which is what I want.
Now if I can only finish my garage so I can get back to work on my car ... LOL

I always thought the driveshafts available on musclemotorsports looked good, if you can find the dimensions you need.

Just be careful with the driveshafts. They are HUGE. Cup shafts use 4" tubes, but they are thin wall. Usually .065".

I live 2 miles from Muscle motorsports in Huntersville NC on Sam Furr road...there is alot of stuff and alot of junk....some might not see it that way but after spending the last 10 or so years in racing Im picky..Theres piles of driveshafts..common lengths are 47-48 range for cup car 41- 43 for a BGN car and 49-51 for a craftsman truck .065 most common but theres some .083 stuff out there as well MFG's were running 4.5 driveshafts at places like Pocono when the cars ran OD transmissions and were 11,000 rpm shaft speed I have see some with over 5 inch Dia....but thats some top secret aero stuff....haha most have a Mark Williams billet yoke so that makes it worth it right there... you can have the shaft re tubed or shortened...18 Deg stuff hasnt been run in a BGN car for almost 10 years....theres tons of restrictor plate stuff out there... The big thing rightnow is old 22 gal fuel cells since NASCAR switched to 17 theres a surplus.. ring and pinios are a dime a dozen braided line as well fittings radiators...If anyone is looking for something specific let me know I can find it... And I know what Im looking at..

The housings are everywhere... but you'd have to be sure you wanted the speedway style hubs since the housings come standard with them as well as truck arm style rear suspension..
