Hey guys, I've been building this project for the last 12 or so years.
I've always kind of built to the Pro-Touring theme without knowing it.(pro touring doesn't really exist in Australia)
3 children have come along during this time, so progress has been quite slow.
I do everything myself also, so this generally makes my builds slow even at the best of times, being self taught and not in the automotive trade means I sometimes spend lots of time researching and practicing before doing mods.
I am a house builder by profession, but my passion has always been cars.
Anyway enough about me, on to the good stuff.
My project is a General Motors Holden (the Aus arm of GMC) 1974 One Ton cab chassis.
Very similiar construction to Chevs of the same period.
mods are
Toyota Quad cam V8 Twin turbo
Custom (by me) steam pipe turbo headers
Supra 7mgte 440cc injectors
Modified fuel rail (dual inlet, dual outlet)
SX fuel pressure regulator
SX Hi Flow filter
Bosh motor sport 044 EFI fuel pump with Holley Blue lift pump
Motorsport surge tank.
Ported heads with reshaped combustion chambers, heads have been cc’d and blue printed on re-assembly
3 angle valve grind
2mm Copper head gaskets
8.9:1 Cr
Port matched intake manifold
Ported, modified, relocated Throttle Body
Direct fire waste spark multi coil CDI Ignition System.
Honda CBR600 f4i CDI coil on plugs.
M&W Pro14 CDI box.
Wolf 3D engine management,
Ducted oil cooler with billet remote filter.
Mocal oil thermostat.
Custom engine mounts, sump, bell-housing, flywheel.
Modified GT4 pressure plate, with 3500lb clamp, 5 puck carbonic sprung hub disk.
Rack and pinion steering conversion
2in drop spindles fitted with 2001GTO hubs.
Rebuilt, strengthened and blue printed R154 box
Front brakes, 330mm X 32mm slotted DBA 40000 series motorsport front rotors with Porsche 996 GT3 monoblock 4piston callipers, on billet steel hubs with custom 6061 T6 calliper adapters.
Rear, 330 X 28mm slotted DBA 40000 series motorsport rotors with Porsche 996 GT3 monoblock 4piston callipers, custom calliper adapters.
Adjustable front coil over shock conversion.
Adjustable front sway bar etc.
I've been working on the front end for a while now slowly fixing a few geometry issues, which led me to the CC forum and from there to here.
Been lurking around both forums for a little while now and thought it about time to say hello.
Cheers Trev.
P.S. pics to follow.

WOW!!!! Very creative, and very cool! Welcome to the site! For someone that's not trained in the auto profession, that's completely badass!! Congrats on your build, looks like it's almost ready to go now. How soon before you can fire it up, and drive it?

Kind of reminds me of FnF2 when those guys put the skyline motor in the old 'Stang (no offense with the FnF reference).

Very cool, very creative. Have a dyno sheet?

only the first pic below is my car.
I am working in cramped conditions in a single car garage and cannot roll it out at the moment.
Other pics are just to give you an idea on the shape.
Cheers.

No, no dyno sheets yet.
Still unfinished.
Pondering the rear axle assembly at the moment.
The old solid or IRS dillema.
The car will be road registered and weighing at around 2500lbs, engine is build to produce around 700 horsepower.
This model was built by GM in Australia between 1971-80 with minor body revisions across the years.
Available in sedan, utility, panelvan, coupe and cab chassis.
Coupe is obviously the nicest body shape and cab chassis is the lightest.
Below is a coupe pic.

These cars are cool... if you've never seen them before, the Monaros look like a mash-up of a variety of US GM cars. It's fun to see what parts might interchange. Here's a cool site with more pics:
