Got a little sticker shock when I saw the pricetag, but I have to have them. I love the way the spokes are black but the rim lip is chrome as well as the rivet pad. I have been searching high and low for this look. The only other wheel to do this is the old Simmons F-series. How sick is this gonna be with those big ass Red C6 Z06 Calipers behind it? I'm jacked up. Sorry its the little things that excite me https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
Estimated build time: 8-12 weeks https://static1.pt-content.com/images/noimg.gif
The wheel is a Sevas R-55 3-piece 2-tone. I'm looking at 18x8.5 Front and 18x9.5 Rear. Definintely a distinguishing look. The only american cars they have built wheels for is C5-C6 vettes and new body stangs, so I would be a guinea pig of sorts I guess. But I don't care, I almost fell out of my seat when I saw this wheel.
Opionions? Its OK if you don't like it, I think its a love/hate thing.

Nice wheel, but I'd probably go with a wheel that had a thicker spoke pattern on a GN. Those cars are heavy and clunky looking, they look more stable with a fatter spoke under them.
I dig those wheels, but just not on a GN.

+1 ...
On my black T-Bird SC, I had a set of 18" Fittipaldi wheels (cheapo 1-piece though) with a similar double-spoke pattern. They looked, but I've since installed some Motegi wheels with a wide 5-spoke design in black, and they look fantastic on the big car.
But hey, it's your car, you're the one who has to like the wheels!! :)
cheers

I hear ya. I wish the spokes were a touch thicker myself. The other option I saw was the R-5 which is a thick 5-spoke, but the spoke looks too "flat" to me I guess...
How much are they? Are they close in price to other wheels around here?

Yup, spokes are for sure thin.... not sure I like this particular wheel for the GN anymore... I need a thicker spoke I think.

This is option #2, except I'd order them without the silver outlines on the spokes:

check out iforgeds website, they have the same styles and can do a lot of different paint schemes on the wheels for you.

And you couldn't go wrong with this Schott "Americana" wheel, which can be powder coated back too:

Although I love the look of the R55, I think I am deciding against it after seeing a few different photochops. I am in love with the wheel design and paint scheme, but it just doesn't look right on a GN. Thanks for all the help, everyone! I have now narrowed it down to the Boze Boost, Iforged Astra (thanks nineball), Sevas R5, or Rushforth Super Spoke (thanks driverzinc). I just have to compare pricing on all my options and decide which one is going to look the best. I'm going to do a gloss black center with polished rivets and polished or chrome lip.
I REALLY wish someone made a wheel with a stepped lip, but I guess that is an older style that everyone is getting away from in a 3 piece wheel.
The other cool thing I haven't seen from anyone besides Sevas is being able to Chrome/polish the rivet pad on the center piece of the wheel to reflect off the lip and make it look larger. That's what I liked so much about the Simmons F-series, the outer lip actually flips up and bolts to the outside of the center. Below is the Simmons F-series wheel (which I had in gloss black, but sold because they didnt clear the Z06 brakes) Check out the pic of Heath Elmer's GNX below with these wheels:

Gino, keep in mind that the stepped lips themselves will make the wheel look smaller than it is. With a smooth lip wheel, the face is actually larger in diameter than the same sized wheel with a stepped lip. A stepped lip wheel actually looks 1" smaller when compared to a smooth lip of the same size wheel.
