So I came across some SS brakes and was wondering if they would work on my car or if I should just sell them. How difficult to install 2000 camaro front disc to a 1st gen?

I already have drop spindles and front disc (i need new spindles these SUCK!).

Thanks for the info.

They aren’t hard to install. If you are going to get rid of the drop spindles, then you have two options depending on your budget. ATS sells spindle that already has the hub and spindle all together. The only thing you have to find out from them is if the hub that they offer will fit in the rotor hat of the 2000 Camaro disc. I think they fit a C5/C6 rotor but, I’am not sure that they are the same as the 2000 rotors on the Camaro.

The other option is to get a set of DRUM BRAKE SPINDLES and hubs. It seems to me that they are a dime a dozen. Zman1969 was very helpful when I was doing the swap. He also sells the bracket that mounts the 2000 Camaro caliper basket to the 1968 Camaro spindle.

Here is another website that I just found, check it out. http://members.aol.com/diels1/brackets

Hopefully this will help you.
