Guys I'm new to the board and I'm a glutton for punishment, I am building 2 cars at once but the one that I need some help with is my wifes Dodge Dart.

I just picked up a V-10 / AOD combo with the processor and wiring harness which I would like to put in the dart.

My question is, has anyone here ever seen or heard of this being done ?

Any idea's as far as the K-frame (tubular or Hemi) or the installation of this beast into that light car.

I may have to give my wife my Nova and me take the dart :hah:

Gearjammer,
There were acouple challengers at the B-Jackson auction on display that had V-10s in them. Both had extensive work done to the fire wall and dash to make the swap work. About one half on the motor was past the original firewall location. They probably had great front to rear weight ratios but looked like a ton of work to make everything fit. I am not sure what you would have to do on a dart, but would probably end up with the driver's seat where the rear seat is now. I know you can get a K-frame that would support a 440 on darts but not sure if that would be enough support for a V-10. Sorry I did not get any pictures...

I would think the 10 would be reasonably light and any BB K member will be ok. Firewall work will be required to get it in like it should be but not so bad. BTW where did you get a 10 w/AT???? Truck????

Truck V10's are all iron. How much does one weigh?
I'm looking at a 72 Swinger to build into a protourer. It's got a healthy 318 now but if I get it,either a 360 crate motor or 440 will go in it.

It came out of a SRT (viper motor) I plan on putting both assemblied on my shop scales to get a real total weight.

I just thought it would be awesome to have something different
