Does anyone have an idea how i can cut a wheel width wise so that its squire.i am going to widen them but i need to find a way to cut them squire,i have a buddy that welds for a living and so he is going to make the spacers and weld them in but where not sure how to cut them.thanks for any help. thanks matt

Good luck man, there are a handful of guys in the whole US that have made a business of doing just what you are attempting and use special lathes and welders to accomplish it. Be careful, and be safe.

i would think the only way to cut it perfect would be on a lathe, and im not even sure how well that would work out. it seems like it would be a ton of work, so is it worth it? how much are you going to widen it? welding for a living is great, but there are some serious issues if he doesnt get it perfect. im not trying to ruin your day, but like jon said, be safe.

i want to widen them 3''. i think am going to get and old axle an center it in the lathe and than bolt up the rim and cut it.I am going to be as safe as i can with it. I know that seems like alot to widen but weldcraft as done the same style rim to 3" wider.
