what vinyl glue?

The guys that have done their own interior work, what adhesive did you use?
I tried doing some test pieces with some DAP contact adhesive yesterday and it soaked through the vinyl...so need something different.

I use dap weldwood. I have been using a cheap paint sprayer to spray it on. let it dry to the touch and put the pieces together.
