I scored a deal on a set of 18" Fikse FM5 wheels for the rear of my '67 Camaro a while back, but they have just been sitting in my house for 6 months collecting dust. They came off a C5 Vette and are the exact backspacing I needed for my DSE tubs/stock width rearend. I've always loved these wheels, but the price of them new is just too much. I paid half price, so I was able to justify it.

I just found a set of Viper take-off 335/30/18 Pilot Sports on ebay (with one test drive on them), so I now have a complete rear tire package that I decided to mount on the car. Now I just need to get some front wheels ordered to match. Too bad I'll have to pay full price for those....:pat:

Thanks guys,
They are 18X11" with 7.75" backspacing which is a stock offset for 4th gen f-bodies and Vettes, I believe. They are a perfect fit for a mini-tubbed car that does not have a narrowed rearend.

I know a lot of guys go for that deep-dish look by narrowing the rear and getting wheels with less backspacing, but this car is already together and I didn't care enough to do it that way. I think they look pretty good on the car, and I too have always loved these wheels.

The wheels were 1/2 price and the tires were 1/2 price, so all in all a good deal for a sweet set of wheels & tires.

I do have the TTII's, the fronts are still on the car. I'll definitely be selling the fronts, but I may keep the rears for some drag radials. I also have another pair of 9.5"s on my other car in storage that I really don't need.

So I guess that would be a pair of 9.5" with 6.5" backspacing and a pair of 9.5" with 5.5" backspacing. Not sure if I want to sell the 11's yet.

Looks damn good with or without the deep lip. I'm still ready to order those fronts whenever you are.

For those reading, I have a set of 18s (18x8.0 front 18x9.5 rear) in stock for a 67-69 Camaro. PM me for pricing. Get your fancy new wheels before the show season.

I recall spotting several sets of FM5's for sale on Ls1tech.com. I'm not sure if they are the correct offset for the front of a 1st gen though. Just worth taking a gander.

I actually bought these on LS1tech at the end of last year. I'll be sure to check again to see what's out there.
