Hey guys, I just received my header panel close-out from Undercover Innovations and it is a sweet piece. My question is if it is to much under my hood or does it make it look to busy? Do I need to try and paint it body color or leave it as is? Opinion's please.

Thanks

I think it looks good. The ball milled look carries over from the air filter to the header close out panel.

I'm not much on bling under the hood, but you obviously are and that closeout panel matches what you've already done, so I agree with Rick, keep it as is.

Even though it matches the hinges and supports, it seem s to be too much. I think it would look better painted to match the radiator support. As nice as the engine is, you want to accentuate it, not the close out panel.

Thanks guys. I am beginning to wonder if it looked better before putting it on.

I just ordered one too, but got it with the black anodized finish. My car is black, so I think it will cover that space and blend in nicely.

I think yours would look great if you painted it to match. It would blend in nicely.

I agree with Mr B. I think painted with maybe the low milled lines aluminum. for a little oomph. But, I would have to see it that way to make a good decision! There is enough people on here that can chop it, go from there!

IMHO, if you paint it body color, and tone down the hoses, you'll be set.

Or leave it as is and then chrome the brake master cylinder and reservoir to max out the shiny factor.

Either way, that's a nice looking engine bay. Nice work!

I would do body color too.

Body color will look great. It looks good now but body color will really set it off. Right now it has that bling thing which is cool but body color will give it that blended more low profile look.

I think body color would blend it in nicely.

leave it and change your radiator lines and coolant lines to black.

Thanks alot guys for the comments, I really appreciate them. I have decided to take it off. To me it takes away from the engine bay and that's not what I want. I really don't evan think I would like it body color either. So if anyone needs a close out panel I have one. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2005/07/biggrin1-1.gif

Plus the wife wasn't to thrilled with the way it looked. So if she isn't happy then ultimately I'm not. https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2006/06/lol-1.gif
