I finally got to hear my Cutlass run for the first time in 6 years. Ive owned the car for 13 years, but it broke at the same time I was in the middle of getting divorced. Well as expected life went in the toilet, I went on the bottle and the Cutlass got parked. I never had the money or the motivation at the same time. this last year I have gotten my life back in order so I started back in on the Cutlass. I was faced with what broke and now what was missing or damaged from sitting for 5 or so years. its still not 100% roadworthy, but I did get to her her run. At this point its just 100 minor things that need attention and it will be back on the road.

its so loud because there is no exhaust hooked up to the headers.

Also a big ups to you for getting everything back in order. I'm sure hearing it will give you enough motivation to get it road worth. The Cutty looks real nice with the color matched wheels. Any pics you'd like to share?

thanks guys. hearing it run did have me hopping up and down and sure has improved my mood. its going to stay Olds powered for a while here but the long term plan is a 6.0L T56 swap. As much as I love the olds power, I just cant say no to the dollar per HP per fun equation with the late model FI engine.

The color matched wheels were a HUGE improvement over the old cragars.
I dont have any good pics of the car since it hasnt left the garage in years.

the short therm plan is to get the brakes, suspension and rear end in order and then Ill worry about the engine and tranny.

the car made it about 1 mile before the tranny went south. I was hoping it was just the converter, but alas it was more involved. I did snag a 2004r out of a Monte SS for cheap so thats getting swapped in place of the TH350. And yes, it does sit low. Its got Hotchkiss springs all the way around. Im going for the sleeper look. Do you think I have it nailed?
