Last weekend on Gearz w/Stacey David, he put one of those together and drove it. Pretty cool, even did a wheelie with it. Sure beats a Briggs & Stratton.

I'm holding off until they have a twin turbo.
Crazy stuff.

Crazy, anyone who would spend that kind of money on a barstool.

I am curious what transmission is being used.

I don't know if you watched the video, but I was just waiting for him to stuff it into one of those parked cars. I guess I have been watching too many youtube videos. :Alchy:

Uses a trans from a riding lawn mower. Static drive, or fluid driven? Something like that

Those can barely handle the power of the 12hp Brigs & Straton engine & they are using it on a V8? wow.

I read it is a hyrdostatic transmission, not sure what one exactly.
Seems to be hydraulic of some sort. It would be fun to build one, and I can figure everything out but any trans I think of would be too large.
Hydraulic pump with hydraulic motors on axle might be way to go, not sure on speed control and how that works.

I built this on a much lower budget and it is lots of fun to run at car shows or in parades, plans are to build a few more and add a killer paint job.

Talk about expensive. I'd rather have a shifter cart or an LSx motor for one of my cars for that price.

I wonder when someone will get killed on one of those...:/
Doesn't look like fun at all.

They use some type of John Deere hydrostat trans. They only get up to about 30 mph which is pretty fast on a bar stool I guess. They are made by the Boss Hoss motorcycle guys.

That's what I was trying to see. I see the chain drive, but what clutches the motor? A giant go-kart centrifical clutch?
