Which one? Well, since this is a PT site Ill stick with the PT project.
1. Pontiac
2. 400SBC (well, technically its not in the car but it is in a stage of assembly)
3. Never thought about a HP # really. Im after 630ish ftlbs of tq so the hp will take care of itself.

5. LT1 intake converted to run a reg distributor with home made fuel rails and home welding/porting of runners, brodix alum heads (home ported), 96lb/hr injectors (extra injector size is for later upgrades if I want), power stroke IC modded to my specs (hey, it was a free part :) ), two PT50 turbos w/ smallish exh housings for low RPM spool up, home built 304 SS headers, 749 syclone/typhoon/sunbird GT ECM.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
a. Most of the parts I already have laying around.
b. Reliability (wifes fair weather/weekend driver since she sold her GN).
c. I enjoy fabbing/modding my own parts to suit the way I want them.
d. An excuse to buy a bigger TIG welder :) .
e. The look on other guys faces when my wife slaughters their nasty sounding tubbed strip only cars at the track (shes brutal on the tree) or when she torches some racer wannabe's ass stop light to stop light. The expression is priceless trust me.
7. Im familiar with it, they are cheap, and I have ~5 of them laying around. Too bad the language is NOT user friendly and when the price of stand alone FI comes down to ~$500 or so Ill be ditching the GM ECM.

The car is very civil on the road and idles very smooth, yet at 60mph on the freeway this 4000lb tank will smoke the tires (335x35 P Zero's with a 3 link) in 3rd with a 2.56 gear in the rearend. Very cool.

5. Clifford intake modified for EFI (Gen7), 55lb injectors, Turbonetics TO4 60-1 turbo, Spearco Icooler as big as the radiator, Accel 1000cfm TB. 100-200 shot of juice available for later turbos.
6. I wanted to do something different + I'm a big fan of turbos.
7. System capabilities + good deal. I've worked with all sorts of aftermarket and OEM units, I just like the balance the Accel Gen7 offers. The boost builder feature helps, as I'm using a 200 4R.
Why EFI? Unlike an SBC, there are very few aftermarket components for the OHC-6, so swapping out cams ($$$) and manifolds, etc is not an option. I've made or modified just about everything that has gone into the motor (except the Crower rods). Add to that the fact that EFI can support many levels of power given very few changes.

1. What brand of car is your current project?
Pontiac
2. What engine is in your current project?
305 Chevy, stroking to 334
3. What is your horse power goal?
500 rear wheel. More important though is the 30 MPG goal I have. :seizure:
4. What style of induction is planned for your current project?
EFI with rear mounted (as in muffler location, ala STS turbo's idea) T4 turbo 60-62 trim intake side and somewhere around 90-100 exhaust trim.
5. Please list the details of your induction system. Brand of intake manifold, carburetor, EFI ECU, blower, turbo, etc…
LT1 converted to run with distributor
Stock GM TPI 165 ECU and electronics with home burned chip, dyno tuned of course.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
Cheap. I've spent around $200 on the intake setup including all parts and the turbos I've been looking at are only around $350-$400 shipped. Exhaust parts are cheap and I own a nice MIG welder.
7. If you are using EFI, what are the deciding factors for choosing your particular system?

1. '68 Chevy Camaro.
2. 1971 402 BBC bored and stroked to 433 cubic inches.
3. The goal was 500 to 550 HP. More would be cool, but I'll suffer with 483 HP 550 FT LBS of torque.
4. Naturally aspirated carburetor.
5. Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, 850 Double pumper Holley, and K&N air filter.
6. The engine had already cost me enough money at the time. The carburetor was used and came at a great price. After seeing how many gremlins a fuel injection system can have and how much time it takes to tune fuel injection really well, I'm thinking my "box of leaks" (known as a carburetor) is pretty good.

1. What brand of car is your current project?
1969 Nova
2. What engine is in your current project?
stock 255hp 350, flat cam and all!
3. What is your horse power goal?
No specific hp goal, 1/4 mi goal of 11.99
4. What style of induction is planned for your current project?
d. Forced induction EFI (hopefully)
5. Please list the details of your induction system. Brand of intake manifold, carburetor, EFI ECU, blower, turbo, etc…
Our ECU (obviously), don't have the rest planned out yet. I keep thinking about turbos, then I wake up and realize I don't have the fabrication skills.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
Because I doubt that I could keep it numbers-matching and run in the 11's naturally aspirated without turning it into an ill-tempered POS. I have to drive it to work too, and more particular (some would say wussy) about things like idle quality. I want my car smooth.
7. If you are using EFI, what are the deciding factors for choosing your particular system?
Well, if I didn't fuel inject it, my company would probably fire me. Plus, EFI is to me as carbs are to my dad: it's what I know.
I also have a 1968 4x4 CST-20 and a 1968 camaro (actually my ex-girlfriends technically, until I can buy it off her). I wish my Nova was a 1968, it certianly would round things out a lot nicer!
If I do end up with the camaro, it'll be more P-T and the Nova will probably be more stock, hence the ambiguity about my project plans currently.

5. Induction type - twin turbo. Stock LS6 manifold, and injection save for larger injectors and tuning.
6&7. The reasoning behind using the Gen III was GM already figured out most of the fuel injection for me. Tuning is done with LS1edit, which is not too complex a program. Your average joe could use it from what I've heard. Turbos are for making big power, while staying reliable, streetable, and maintaining friendly manors. Same for the efi. With twins and LS1edit, I can have several tunes on a laptop for various boost levels. 600rwhp is not pratical on the street, but it will come in handy for top speed events. I could (in theory) drive the car to the event at 6psi and then turn the boost to 12psi via a boost controller and change the tune. With a carb, or Supercharger, I'd be either changing pulleys, or tuning a carb. LS1edit is fairly inexpensive as well. Although I won't do the dyno-tuning myself, it's nice to know I could switch pre-made tunes with realitive simplicity.

3. 300 RWHP with NH, 500ish RWHP with LSx

5. NH: Modified OE intake and Holley 750 vac with Proform center, LSx: FAST or any high flow composite intake and any ECU less than $1500
6. NH: No aftermarket single 4-bbl intake available for this engine and I'm cheap, LSx: light weight and thermal conductivity of composite. Don't need super high map resolution for a 6500rpm NA engine

5. Currently Weiand Stealth intake, Holley 600cfm 4160 carb, but like I said, I'll be installing the Paxton.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
Cheap, no nonsense, pretty hassle free, and it's intended to be temporary. Heck, even the Paxton will be temporary
7. If you are using EFI, what are the deciding factors for choosing your particular system?
No EFI yet, but I'm already planning and collecting parts. I'll end up using a Megasquirt controller and off the shelf Ford EFI components, and either a Ford EFI intake or a modified 4 barrel intake like the Stealth plumbed for injectors. It'll be cheap, but hopefully effective at improving torque, mileage, cold starts, lower emissions, and make more power.

2. What engine is in your current project?
L6, but plan on an aluminum V8 (LS1?).
3. What is your horse power goal?

4. What style of induction is planned for your current project?
Blower, w/EFI probably.
c. Forced induction carburetor/d. Forced induction EFI.
5. Please list the details of your induction system. Brand of intake manifold, carburetor, EFI ECU, blower, turbo, etc…
Not sure, will have to watch the industry and LS1 evolve.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
Looking for good power levels, strong throughout entire range, while still getting some decent mpg. I am not against turbos, just not sure if they are what I want.
7. If you are using EFI, what are the deciding factors for choosing your particular system?
EFI seems to be the best possible answer for consistent power and economy, plus I believe it is easier to work with a computer for automatic adjustments based on ambient conditions.

D. Twin throttle body tunnel ram, 160 lb/hr injectors, FAST sequential with wideband, twin 60-1 turbos, .70 A/R P-trim exhausts, 4" inlet 2.5" outlet compressor housings, large-by-huge air-air front mount IC.
5. Please list the details of your induction system. Brand of intake manifold, carburetor, EFI ECU, blower, turbo, etc…
I started with a Weiand tunnel ram base, added 2" of sheet metal and a billet lid, twin Honda throttle bodies, injector bungs, fuel rails, water lines, etc.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
I wanted a good sized plenum to minimize cylinder to cylinder variations, which sometimes are a problem in turbocharged 4 bbl intake conversions. I used the tunnel ram because I got it for $40 on Ebay and the Honda throttle bodies because they were free. :)
7. If you are using EFI, what are the deciding factors for choosing your particular system?
FAST has a good user base with the turbo Buick crowd..important if you don't want to re-invent the wheel. Wide band O2 is hugely helpful for boosted motors, and sequential injector firing is important when you try to use a huge injector with a small motor (short idle pulsewidths).

Two projects: 1970 Chevelle SS 454 convertible and 1972 Monte Carlo Convertible!
Throttle body injected 454 Doug Nash 5 speed in the Chevelle and 93 LT-1 automatic overdrive in the 72 Monte Carlo.
Horsepower goal is mild/stock in both cases. Driveability is more important.
Throttle body chosen for SS 454 convertible to look stock under cowl induction air cleaner. LT-1 injected engine for driveabilty in Monte Carlo convertible and I also already have 2 of these engines in the shop.
13 inch Brakes with C4 Calipers front and 12 inch rear, Hotchkis suspension, powdercoat frame/suspension/underhood components and 17 inch repop SS wheels on the 70 SS 454 Convertible.
Same brakes and suspension as described above for the Chevelle will be installed on the 1972 Monte Carlo convertible with 17 inch/18 inch wheels. This will closely match in appearance the 1970 Monte Convertible that I already have built and driving. The 1972 Monte convertible will drive and handle MUCH better than the 1970 Monte convertible I currently drive.
Picture attached is the 1970 Monte Convertible that I am currently driving. Stock drivetrain and suspension with exception of the 17/18 inch Billet Specialty "Vintecs".

The intake is an Edelbrock Performer RPM. There may be a bottle lurking someplace too... but I can neither confirm nor deny that information.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
I have more Holley parts than I can shake a stick at, and the intake was a great buy from a local Goat owner.

Hilborn IR manifold for 18 degree heads, not much selection for these heads in the way of EFI.
6. Why did you choose this style of induction system?
Found one on Ebay for a good price, otherwise it would have been a single four barrel manifold converted to EFI.
