I figured that a couple of you guys might be interested in these projects...... The first one is a first gen Camaro that is being built down at Progressive Auto with all C-5 running gear and drivetrain.... Also if you follow this link http://hypertec.ws/todd_porsche/ you will see a customers Porsche ( yep..... I said Porsche ) being built up that will blow you away..... literally. I love the quote at the top of the page " Porsche Purists may not want to see this" ....

I knew it wouldn't be long until someone else copied my build up. Interesting approach to the C5 swap, looks like they are trying to retain the trunk, and wheel wells. Got any more pics of the 1st gen?

that Porshe is sick. I might even be able to get my dad to like something with a Chevy in it after all!

Tyler..... you seem to be the T-56 afficianado here.... I a using a T-56 out of a Viper and I have not sourced anything yet for the clutch or pedal assembly. Can you give me any advice or insight on what route I should look at going? My original plans were to use Kugels pedal assembly with the remote hydraulic resevoir but I dont have anything set in stone yet.....
tyler, you better finish yours before other guys say that you copied them!

Tyler, I can't say that I knew anyone else who had started a similar project. I found your website after Tony@AirRideTech told me that he had posted a few pictures here. I will make sure to pass your website along to my customer. It looks like you're much further along. We just bolted the body back on 2/1 and the customer's doing the sheetmetal work.
If anyone should ask, I make sure to tell them that there is another one that was started first.

Yeah, I started this project back in 2000. We are finally done with the carbon fiber body kit, and are moving on from here. Only 3578 items left on the list...
Tony-
What kind of car are we talkin' here?

Tony-
That Kugel's pedal assembly is pretty damn nice. How much fab is there to make it work in your car? If it isn't much, I'd say go for it, and use a McLeod bellhousing, and tilton throw-out.

If that is Bob from Progressive there is only one way to describe you and your shop and that is 1st CLASS!! In a world of nobody standing behind their product you are defenitely not the norm. ANYBODY looking for suspension or brake stuff check out these guys. Brian from NY with the Rambler who had a defective brake master problem that you went way beyond to correct. Thanks and if you ever need a reference just ask.

Yes, Brian, it's me. I appreciate the kind words. How's about sending me a picture of the car????
Tyler, you don't need to tell me about me on the "when did you start and when will you finish" routine. I'm working on a C4 suspended 56' Chevy truck. I started replacing the firewall with a recessed one, at about 8:00 am yesterday. In between phone calls and walk-in customers, I had 24 spotwelds drilled out by 3:30 pm. I figure at this rate, in about 2 weeks I should have the new firewall in. ;)

No offense dude, but Adams Rod shop was doing C5 stuff the instant they came out. We had a C5 / 55 Chevy here in Orlando 6 months after the 97 came out.
I think he was referring to a full frame first gen, with a complete C5 drivetrain/suspension, however the shop you are refering to might have also done the exact thing before hand?
