LS quick charging wire ?

I have an LS2 going into a 68 Camaro, I completly rewired the car with an AAW classic update kit. There is a wire in the LS2 harness running from the alternator to the starter. Do I run a charging wire from the alt. directly to the battery or do I go from the starter to the battery??

I ran a charge (big) wire from the alt to the starter on my LS1. I'm sure it's the same. Reason being is because my battery is in the trunk of my 69 Camaro. It saved a little, well, alot of wire and is alot cleaner.
