It's time again to terrorize the Angeles Crest Highway, have a great breakfast, and spend some time bench racing with a bunch of fellow gearheads.
As before we will be meeting at the Shell station at the Angeles Crest Highway exit off the 210 freeway at 6:30am. The 27-mile winding-road drive is a thrill (if you want it to be,) as are the scenic views and the great food at Newcomb's Ranch. Bring any car you want. Heck, don't bring a car at all and hitch a ride with one of the others. I'm hitching since my car is in a coma.
The early hour is so that we won't be blinded by the rising sun. It will make for a great morning.

I'd like to make it to one of these sometime, but man, that's early for a weekend. Especially considering I have a drive ahead of me to reach the meeting spot. Sounds like fun though.
How about a Malibu area cruise on the PCH? That's a little closer to me.

We did Paradise Cove on PCH twice but the drive isn't as 'fun' as the crest. And I know SB is really far, but I do 50 miles to get to the Shell station myself.

I'm out guys. One of my boys decided to share the latest fever-making creepy crud with me.
Sorry. Next time.

My 2 y/o did the same to me 2 weeks ago.
Who else is going? Chad? Steve? Mike? I don't want to hike all the way for a solo cruise.

I'm taking a rain check; literally. It's supposed to be 62 degrees and rainy tomorrow.

I've been up to my eyeballs lately but was just getting on to see if i should set the alarm in the morning and take my wretched car out there. Looks like a no go?
I'd go even if just the two of us Nick but if it's supposed to rain I'm gonna pass.

Well, I had car trouble this morning but still took the Silverado out. Met 1 other die hard from the GTO board. We wnt up anyway and it was really nice from the sadlle up. Below the saddle was a 75' visibility rainy mess, but it ended up being a nice run anyway. I wish I had in cab video of a 5000 pound truck keeping up with a GTO up the crest pushing in and loose out of a few corners.

Turns out that was the last hoorah in the Silverado. If ever I can't make it in the Camaro again I will be taking my new HHR SS.
Now I know why people love a good turbo setup!
