I put this in body cause...well, I need a body or body parts advice.

Ok so I finally need advice.

I've been wanting to do a 67 Vette. I've been searching the last 3+ years for a titled basket case. I found one but its just not cost effective to ship it too. My delema is should I:

(1) wait for the right car
(2) buy a complete kit car
(3) buy the necassary body parts and assemble

Im not looking for a vert so I thought I was being reasonable. But im not in a hurry so I could just be patient. Not like I really need a new project.

I'd like sites sources and leads. Thanks. :attn:

no kits!

all press molded body panels are available just a little $$

Have to be a 7? or would a 6 do? Looked at a 6 last year for a customer wanting to restore one. Had a one piece fntend and a big block with the casting number ground off! If i can find the number I'll call and get more info , if it's still around ( in sc). Think it was in the high teens...good luck finding one of these reasonable, worse than 69 camaro's and every one you look at is a or was a 427 car...

I'd wait till what you want comes along, especially in the climate we're in now. But be prepared to shell out the $$ for parts on these cars, you get upside down really quick.

thanks for the info.

Im only looking for a shell as I can build everything eles for it. I have worked with body bonding strips and such before, just looking at other options. Yep, 67 specific.

I could buy a 64 body from US body but the ones I have seen from them where pretty flimsy. Then buy a complete 67 front from The Corvette image in Oregon.

I have been in contact with Legend/Downs. 18k for the body. Nice body.

Would you have any other supplier links?
