Me and my friend are planning a trip to LA for the end of April, beginning of May. Frist we go the the Super Chevy show in Richmond, VA.
Than we fly to LA. We sure want to go to the Long Beach Swap meet.

Any pro-touring shops in LA we must visit during our trip?

please give me some advise.

thanks

The link above will give you a heads up on what's happening, where and when. Select the "Event" button for car show info.

Also try "Cars & Coffee" and "Donut Derelicts"

Though not PT, Hawaii Racing in Simi Valley and Performance Auto Wholesale in Chatsworth have pretty good showrooms.

Sure... why not go see the God father of the Corvette, the Camaro and of Pro-Touring, 20 years before it was called Pro-Touring.

Guys, I did some research. What about these:

DW motorsports in Corona
Barry White in Corona
ICON Engineering Inc. in Hawthorne
Street Concepts in Huntington Beach
West Coast Street Rods in Huntington Beach
Best of show coachworks in San Marcos
PURE VISION in Simi Valley? all pro touring shops right?

any others?

ICON does re-pop FJ40 vehicles. Very cool though.

Two not to miss- NHRA museum and the Peterson Museum!

I went there a few years ago & wasn't overly impressed with it. And I thought it was expensive to get in.

Performance Automotive Warehouse was pretty neat.

I'd go to So-Cal Speed Shop.

The shop is still open and there are no plans for it to close. If nothing else, stop by and show your support!

If you're going to Guldstrand you might as well go to Hollywood Hotrods. They are only a few kilometers apart.

In one day, easily, depending on what time you start and where you are staying. Los Angeles traffic can be a .......:

Hawaii Racing
PAW
Hollywood Hotrods
Guldstrand
Bob's Big Boy

Make it a Friday visit then go to Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake for an early dinner. They usually have a great Cruise-in every Friday night.

Hey... vp. Is the Electric Chair still open down the street from the HB pier ??

Yup, it's their!
Main St (PCH and H.B. Pier area) is a great way to waste an afternoon! Nothing better than sitting outside on the sidewalk patio with good food and good drink while soaking up some rays!
