Brand new product for this year are these high quality reproduction gas tanks made in North America. They are ni-terne plated, similar to original, not the painted crap that comes from overseas. Tanks inlcude the fuel pump, sending unit gasket and lock ring. Many are also available in stainless steel as well. Priced around $699 for steel and $999 for stainless. As incentive, we will be shipping these tanks for FREE! Also is you want a high quality original tank, we can get those as well and will sell for roughly the same price and the painted tanks around $139. Sorry no free shipping on those. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.

What about the tanks makes them FI? Internal baffles? Sump? I'm very interested and would like additional details. Thanks

They have been designed to take and internal oe style pump, and and have a baffled sump to prevent pickup loss.

These are exactly what I've been looking for. Seems like a great idea. The fuel system is always tricker than you need it to be... this looks like a simple solution. Cool.

I'd be curious to see better pictures including some of the sump/baffle.Sending unit is extra, does come with gasket and lock ring. 45* flare 3/8-24 supply line, I am sure 5/16 return. Quality has to be second to none considering this company is a OEM supplier to Ford for certain new models. I don't have any close pics right now, but I did look at these tanks at SEMA and was impressed with what I saw.

Can u do a cheaper price? The parts place has these for $595 on ebay for many models and they are stock steel tanks w the same sending unit/fuel pump.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=tab%3DWatching&viewitem=&item=230196889014&_trksid=p3907.m32
Plus if you buy it on thier website, www.thepartsplaceinc.com, you can use discount codes and get for less. Getting shipping is cool but with the summer coming, shipping is free if you pick the tank up at a local large car show. I found a supplier that will sell me the tank w/ the sending unit for $500 and bring it to the Carlisle, PA Spring Carlsile.

Tank prices do vary so I would need to know which tank you want specifically for a firm price. I know I can't sell them for $500, but I should be able to compete with Parts Place.

Well I need one for a 67 Oldsmobile Cutlass and would be willing to pay the $595 price if shipping is still free. I have been searching for a tank like this for a long time, and I am glad to hear that there are alot of these out there. At that price you should sell a lot more.

Are these only stock applications, or are narrow tanks available? Looking to put this in a '72 Nova that's been mini-tubbed.

I am matching Parts Place price of $595, but I can't ship for free on top of that. Price would be plus shipping, figure about $40.

Any 68-72 El Camino tanks ? By the way, your Paypal doesn't work on your cart, I tried 3 times this week to order some LED tail lights for my '72 Elky ( I use Firefox for a browser) and it just went right back to your site after the Paypal info was put in.

Mike,

Any word on when these will ship? Thanks.
Also, do you know what type of fittings are on the end of the feed and return tubing?

MuscleRodz

I got the first batch today. Did not have the Camaro tanks in the shipment. waiting on a return call to see where they are at. The ones I have will ship Wednesday or Thursday. The feed line fitting is 3/8" SAE 45* flare.

Can you get one set up for EFI, for a 1973 GM A-body (73 Buick Century)?

Sorry if this is a dumb question , but:
If it doesn't come w a sending unit, how is the EFI pump set up?

Can anyone convince me why I would need a stainless tank over the regular steel? I am currently running the original almost 40 year old steel tank, and I don't plan on moving to the northeast and driving in a lot of salt. (71 Cutlass w/LT1). Just trying to save a few bucks, but I don't want to be penny wise and pound foolish.

No reason to go with stainless unless you consider running E85 in the future. We are moving quite a few of these tanks right now. We are selling them right now for $635 shipped
