Hello Guys,
I just bought a 67 RS that is 100% original. I have a ton of paper with the car, but can't find the build sheet. The car is at the shop, full of rust, where it will recieve a complete rotisserie restore. I am putting the car back exactly as it would have rolled off the show room floor. 327, 210 hp, auto in the floor. White with black standard interior.

I am thinking of buying a 68 SS that is in my neck of the woods at 17,000. Nice car with no rust. 4 Speed with console and deluxe interior. How can you tell if it is a true SS. iT HAS A 10 Bolt rear end.
Thanks,
Ronnie

Welcome to Pro-Toruing.com. We are happy to have you here and there are a lot of us here familar with stock restorations. They would LOVE you at teamcamaro.com. You will probably get a 20 to 1 response rate over there as most of us here would just love to take a plasma cutter and welder to your car, LOL!

BTW, you 68 ss should have a 12 bolt

It has been a long time, but here is where the car is at this point. It has been painted, but I did change color from original. The original white was not a good looking color.

Welcome to the site! I also have a 1967 RS Camaro, which I have owned since 1983. My car was in good shape when I bought it, but it never had the original engine. I drove my 67 Camaro, until about 1994. I never liked the handling, braking, or creature comforts of in in the past. So in late 2004, we started the frame off and modifying my 67 Camaro for pro-touring.

Hi,

Welcome to the site. Would the build sheet happen to be under the rear seat?

Just a thought.

I think the build sheet was on the gas tank. I took the upholstery off the seats before they started the restore looking for it. Nowhere to be found. I have a whole basket full of original paperwork on this car except for that build sheet. For some odd reason, the owner kept all the inspection tickets from 1967 to 2002 where it changed hands. The inspection tickets have the mileage on them and shows 49000 on the speedometer and 46000 on the tickets. I would assume the car was a low mileage car.

Wow!! Thats a lot of work you have done. I cant imagine what a nightmare it must have been to try to match up all the after market pieces and make them line up. Looks great!
