I checked around on other post and really couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
I am in the midst of replacing my rear quarters on my 68 camaro. I am curious as how the competition stacks up from company to company. I would like to order from Classic, But the shipping charges are outrageous, at least to Michigan. there is actually a NPD distributor just a few hours away and I could save on the shipping for all of the items I am going to order.
I know Classic sells OER items, but are they any better than the other companies out there? I am going with full quarters. I don't really need them, but I would rather do it this way versus welding patches in. But after checking to see how much it is going to cost to ship, it is almost 1,000 bucks just for shipping.. (not only quarters, other items as well) this is the reason I really want to just take a few hour trip and pick the items up. Also, I can inspect them before I even buy. I would like to save money, but not at the cost of quality.
So, has anyone out there had experience with NPD?
thanks in advance.

What all do you need? I can get any piece of metal you need and shipping should be way cheaper than a grand.

There is a few places to buy sheetmetal in Michigan already. Take your pick. http://store.heartbeatcity.net/store/

All of the reproduction sheet metal is from the same manufacturer in taiwan. I went with NOS sheetmetal but the cost is much higher. The fit though was perfect. Typically, I recommend to look at the parts before you buy it. I drove to New York for my NOS quarters, and took them home with me.

Thanks, I just checked out the heartbeat city's website and am going to be contacting them. I think this may be the answer I was looking for.
thanks for the links Sparky...
Thanks for the offer musclerodz, But I think with places this close to me, I will more than likely order from local places just for the inspection ability and to save of shipping and possible damaged goods from transit. But I will keep you in mind if anything changes.

I have purchased NOS sheetmetal from Heartbeat City before with great success. (Driver's Quarter and Rear Tail Pan for a 69 Camaro) I would definitely recommend them.
